What is the Non-custodial wallet?

Non-custodial wallets are blockchain wallets where users own their private keys. Keys are alphanumeric sequences that represent your wallet. The public key is like your bank account number and can be shared whereas the private key is like your PIN code and should be kept secret. Having private keys means that you have complete control over the contents of the funds with no intermediary. You must save those keys somewhere safe. Unlike other non-custodial wallets, GlobaliD provides an extra layer of recoverability. Note that the GlobaliD key for your identity and non-custodial private key and secret recovery phrase are not the same things. Our goal at GlobaliD is to give the first compliant non-custodial wallet in the world where user data is kept private.
