You can use your IDs online to buy things, signup for services, or login to websites securely. In these examples, a business may need to verify something about you to make sure you are who you say you are. We call these businesses “verifiers.” For example, if you wanted to buy alcohol online, a business may need to verify your age. So through GlobaliD, they would ask you to share proof that you are of legal age. Verifiable Credentials make that process secure and privacy preserving. We’re currently building out the verifier platform so stay tuned as more ways to use the GlobaliD platform are unlocked.
