At GlobaliD, we believe that people should have control of their identity information, not companies. That is why we empower our users to store their IDs as Verifiable Credentials. Verifiable Credentials are an open standard from the World Wide Web Consortium designed to make online identity more private, secure, and sovereign. If you want to go into the tech you can check out this link, but what you need to know is that the GlobaliD ID Wallet enables you to store your IDs as Verifiable Credentials. Only you have access to these credentials and they can be used to prove something about yourself, like your age for example, without having to reveal all of your personal information. They leverage the latest encryption methods and are tamper-evident and machine-readable. All of this to say, your IDs are secure and ready for the future.
