Uphold ID Verification Needs

  • Updated

The GlobaliD wallet is powered by our wallet partner, Uphold.

Uphold is required to collect an SSN/ITIN for all U.S. persons in order to comply with federal and state laws, and in order to issue you the 1099 form required to file your annual taxes

In order to keep you safe from fraud and to comply with financial regulations, our wallet partner, Uphold, requires you to verify your identity. To activate a GlobaliD Wallet, you will be asked to share your full legal name, date of birth, country you reside in and your state of residence if you are a U.S. Resident. You may also be asked to verify additional information in order to move, send, and convert funds.
