When you claim a GlobaliD, you become part of the GlobaliD namespace. This identity namespace is constructed similarly to the internet’s domain main system (DNS), giving every person and every entity an identity linked to a unique name.

This registry of all names and their associated identities is intended to be a public good — equally and freely accessible to all — and as such is publicly indexible via the GlobaliD Directory.

You can make your identity more trustworthy by obtaining credentials, adding content to your Profile and joining Groups. In the process, this information will become visible on your Profile — meanwhile your privacy is protected as all of the underlying personally identifiable information is only available to you.

To toggle what information is visible on your Profile, go to Settings > Security Settings > Public Profile Visibility on the mobile app.
